  • Cast off—daily sailing excursions set out at Pier 54 on Seattle's Central Waterfront from May 1 to October 15.
  • Only 20 minutes from downtown Seattle, Shilhole Bay has moorage for 1,500 sail or power boats and guest space for 100 more at seasonal rates. Alternatively, Elliott Bay Marina at the foot of Magnolia Bluff on Seattle's harbor has 1,200 slips with guest moorage available.
  • Catch Opening Day of boating season; the first Saturday in May.  Thousands of spectators line the shore of Montlake Cut to watch as sail and motorboats continually cruise by.
  • Celebrate Maritime Week at the tug boat races in mid-May.
