The majority of the amenities are handicapped accessible including the campground and picnic area. The park is open from early May until early October. Cross-country skiers may have winter access. Location Located in eastern New York along the shores of Lake Champlain in Cumberland Bay, this state park is reached via Interstate 87 to SR 314. Climate The Cumberland Bay area has a varied climate with average January temperatures ranging from below 14 degrees reaching to 22 degrees Fahrenheit (below -10 to -6 degrees Celsius). Summer temperatures average between 72 degrees and below 68 degrees Fahrenheit (22 to below 20 degrees Celsius).
