Phuket Windsurfing Travel Tips

  • The dry season from mid-November to mid-March is when the consistent northwestern winds blow, making for ideal windsurfing conditions.
  • During the rainy monsoon season, from May to November, winds come out of the west, creating waves for jumping, especially in July and August.
  • The months of January and February see 15 knot winds or higher at least 80 percent of the time.
  • No need to pack a board: Most beaches and resorts in the Phuket area rent sailboards by the hour, day, or week.
