  • The dramatic crescent-shaped bay at Anse des Pitons is at the base of the twin peaks of the Pitons. These jagged, soaring mounts are the trademark of St. Lucia and the area is popular with snorkelers and divers.
  • The black sand Anse Chastanet Beach is said to have some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean. Snorkel in the shallow water right off the beach in a marine reserve area called Fairy Land, cordoned off from boat traffic. The crystal clear waters here are ideal for underwater photography.
  • Virgin Cove/Point, a semicircular reef and wall with hard and soft corals, is at a shallow depth of 15 feet and offers an easy reef for beginner snorkelers.

  • Would you recommend getting a car rental for a week(or cab it) if you plan to visit beaches, volcano, hike the Petit Piton, eat out? Which is more economically feasible? Thanks so much!
