It was used for background shots in the films Gone With the Wind and North and South.
  • Going Back to Colonial Days: At Charles Towne Landing, you get insight into how colonists lived 300 years ago, when they established the first English settlement in South Carolina. A visit here features hands-on activities. Even the animals that the settlers encountered, from bears to bison, roam about.
