  • My partner and I--both in our 50's--have a summer home in Nova Scotia and would like to spend 5 days in Newfoundland in mid-August (a few weeks from now). We will be flying from Nova Scotia--Halifax or Sydney, and then renting a car. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we should aim to do? Should we do St. John's and the west coast? Or go to Gros Morne and stay in that area? I realize we cant do everything on our limited timetable but we would love to get a feel for the people, the towns, the terrain etc.
