I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has spent Christmas in New York City. I am planning on arriving Christmas Eve, the 24th at 1:50 and staying till the 26. We will be leaving at 5:00 on the 26th. I have 2 kids 22 and 17 and the hubby of course. Does anyone know what would be open on the 24th and 25th or how I can find out? Any suggestions on good tours or things to do are also appreciated. Have a good one and thanks for your help.

We would like to take our 4 children to New York prior to Christmas and need a very affordable hotel. We want to drive and want advice on hotels and the best deals to tour the sights. We can stay in New Jersey if that is the best way to go. Please also tell us what you would see in a weekend.
