I would like to go away with my wife for Christmas for a romantic get away!!! Thinking about Maine and suggestions??

Hey son was getting married on the weekend of Aug. 8Th. He is now called off the wedding and Mom has from the Aug 5th to the 11th of August off.I have always wanted to go to Maine and do an official Clam/Lobster Bake. I am an Infant Room Teacher looking to make the most of a very short vacation. We have 4 adults and a 1 1/2 year old. Have seen Orchard Beach, L.L.Bean and Kennybunkport in passing through 6 years ago. But would love to spend some time on the coast during the Persiod Meteor shower Aug 10th - Aug 12th. Is there a reasonable hotel/motel/bed and breakfast someone can recommend? Cash is tight but want to experience coastal Maine. I really miss your lobster rolls!!!!!!!!

will be in bagor maine in july 10th -july12th for a softball tournamnet that is to be in Brewer does anyone have any info on what to do between these to city ,town? what is near by thanks
