The Oasis Marien (formerly the Marien Coral) is a medium-sized all-inclusive resort that gets high marks for its grounds, including the pool and beach areas, and better than average reviews of its food and lodging. The pool is a clever clover-leaf shape that manages to provide space for kids, adults, a poolside bar, and lounge chairs, all without seeming cramped. The grounds are well-maintained, including the beach, which is broad and uncrowded, and backed by shade trees. Seaweed washing ashore is a problem all along the north coast, but the groundskeepers here are better than most at clearing it away. Rooms are quite large, all with a balcony or terrace and good air-conditioning units; upgrade options include ocean-view, Jacuzzi tubs, and kitchens. Some rooms are definitely showing their age, but the resort is in the process of renovating old rooms, and adding new ones. Like most AIs, the Marien doesn't offer gourmet meals, but the buffets are tasty and reliable and the restaurants
