This welcome addition brings a successful chain format to Salzburg, although it lacks the style of the Sheraton. Unlike most Novotels (which tend to be on the outskirts of cities), this one is centrally located, within walking distance of many major sights. Rooms, although no style-setters, are well maintained, with good beds and medium-size bathrooms with tub/shower combinations. Nevertheless, for families this is a favorite and by Salzburg standards, its prices are reasonable. Geared to early or late arrivals, the mediocre restaurant, bar, and cafe are open daily from 6am to midnight.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city of Salzburg close to the Mirabell-garden. It offers a central base for the business traveller as well as an ideal starting point for the individual traveller visiting Salzburg. The hotel's underground garage as well as public parking areas around the hotel are available. The main station is 2 km away, the airport 7km, exhibition center 7 km. The journey by car is easily possible from the highway No. A1 if you use exit Salzburg-north and follow the signage - the hotel is located in the ?red' zone of Salzburg's hotel guidance system. Most of the sights and the historic city center can be accessed by walking within a few minutes from the hotel.
