Ruby's Inn's history goes back to 1919 when Reuben Syrett and his family obtained permission to build a "tourist rest" lodge at the edge of what is now Bryce Canyon. Western hospitality and friendly service is still offered by the grand and great-grandchildren of Ruby Syrett. Ruby's Inn is not only a hotel, as RV and tent camping is also available in this family friendly compound. Most of the tired hikers and canyon rim gazers visiting Bryce Canyon National Park stay at this large Best Western, and with good reason—this is where practically everything is happening. The lobby, with a stone fireplace and a Western motif of animal head trophies and American Indian blankets, is among the busiest places in the area. It boasts tour desks where you can arrange excursions of all sorts, from horseback and all-terrain-vehicle rides to helicopter flights; you're welcome to stop by and schedule activities even if you're not staying at the hotel.

Spread among nine buildings, the modern motel rooms contain art that depicts scenes of the area, wood furnishings, and tub/shower combos.
