The hotel's location, just a block off the interstate in a big-box commercial district, loses some points for character, but it's just ten miles east on said interstate to the Lake Coeur d'Alene Scenic Byway.
The Best Western is not above playing up its relationship to its sister property, the Coeur d'Alene Resort. And they will shuttle you over to access many of the resort's facilities—the spa, the golf course, the shopping, etc. But this is a very different hotel, and guests should not expect "resort levels" of comfort or service.
Among the activities at Coeur d'Alene Resort that you have access to as a guest at the Best Western are horseback riding and lake- and fly-fishing lessons and guided trips.
