This genteel but unpretentious hotel-pension occupies the second and third floors of a six-story apartment house that was built around the turn of the 20th century. Set in a prestigious neighborhood on Ringstrasse, it offers small, soundproof bedrooms outfitted in old-world style with oriental carpets, conservative furniture, and intriguing artwork. The shower-only bathrooms are a bit cramped. Despite this, the hotel remains exceptionally appealing to those with a sense of history.
