The original location of the burgeoning budget boutique hotel chain, Belltown's Ace leaves its guests with plenty of change to spend exploring the city's gay nightlife. The ground floor is home to a hip although somewhat grungy diner, and the hotel's reception is up a short, steep flight of stairs. If sleep is important to you, ask for a room away from the restaurant bar on the ground floor or stay out on the town 'till the bar closes. It's worth paying extra for the larger rooms, as some of the more inexpensive rooms star what was described by one guest as "prison chic," their bare walls, tiny sinks, and minimalist decor a far cry from the attractive floor to ceiling retro prints of horses and alpine scenes of the lobby.

Visit the Cyclops Cafe downstairs from the Ace. Its northwest-flavor menu and well-picked art make it a great place to plan your day over breakfast.
Ace is a pet-friendly hotel, so bring Fido and enjoy the parks and urban hikes over Seattle's seven hills together.

Belltown is Seattle's trendiest neighborhood, and the Ace, in the heart of Belltown, is the city's hippest economy hotel. White-on-white and stainless steel are the hallmarks of the minimalist decor. Even the brick walls and wood floors have been painted white. Wall decorations are minimal, except in those rooms with 1970s photo murals of the great outdoors. Platform beds and wool blankets salvaged from foreign hotels add to the chic feel, as do the tiny stainless-steel sinks and shelves in the rooms with shared bathrooms. Basically, aside from the eight large rooms with private bathrooms (ask about the room with the shower behind the bed), this place is a step above a hostel; it's aimed at the 20- and 30-something crowd out to make the scene in Seattle. Be aware that some walls are paper-thin and the clientele here tends to keep late hours. Don't plan on going to sleep early.

The Ace is how you want to travel- simple, stylish, and not too expensive.

No two rooms are exactly alike, making every visit a fresh experience. The (Not-So-) Standard room has 14ft ceilings and white brick walls reminiscent of a downtown loft. Rooms are furnished with low, platform beds, stainless steel in-room sinks, vanities, 2 condoms and a copy of the Kama Sutra. 6 individual bathrooms (just down the hall) are shared with fellow guests and feature oversized showers complete with their own compelling soundtracks

The Deluxe rooms feature high ceilings, low queen size beds, whitewashed brick, modern furnishings and luxurious private baths. Several rooms include views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.

The staff will guide you through all of the hotel's unique room styles when booking. All rooms come stocked with French Army blankets, cable TV, phone, free wi-fi, newspaper and minibar.
