Biography
Destined to be a travel writer, Matthew Link, Editor in Chief of the new website about wacky travel, OffRamp101.com, grew up on his father's 52-foot sailboat during his teenage years. Cruising around Southeast Asia and the Pacific, he dodged skin cancer while lounging on a myriad of perfect beaches in Micronesia and Melanesia. In addition, Matthew grew up in Malibu watching his brother surf, and then as an adult authored the first gay guidebook to Hawaii after having lived on the Big Island for five years, conducting kayak tours to black and green sand beaches. Matthew has spent time in more than 65 countries and Antarctica, and he worked side by side for years with guidebook pioneer Arthur Frommer at his travel magazine. He is the former Editorial Director of The Out Traveler magazine, and launched Sherman's Travel magazine as well. He has also contributed to Newsweek, Time, ForbesTraveler, Conceirge.com, MSNBC, CNN, Men's Health, Men's Fitness, Business Traveler International, and many others.
