I am going to China with Smartours-any recommendations about their optionals. Also have any of you taken this trip Beijing, Xian and Shanghai?

What is the best package to see China Planning a trip to China for next year.And would like to walk on the Great Wall, see the soldiers tomb and would like to visit and stay in remote places to get the feel of real life in China.Can someone advise me on this matter.I don't care for fantasy hotels.Would like less sparkle.
