  • Descend the 58-step, six-landing staircase at snorkel site Shaw's Cove, off Fairview Street and Cliff Drive.
  • Share the cove, protected from large swells, with practicing divers on weekends.
  • Hang out with eels, rays, octopi, garibaldis, bat stars, dolphins, and purple sea urchins—some of the marine life visible on the reef.

  • Sunset Magazine listed a restaurant in the last issue - which has been taken from my office! Any one tried it?? Any restaurant recommendations (all prices)in Laguna? Thank you Jack

  • We will be in Newport Beach, CA next month. My kids want to go snorkeling (they've done it before but are not experts). Research on the internet has directed me to Crystal Cove and Shaw's Cove as two good places to go. We do not have equipment. Do you know of any place in the area where we can rent snorkeling equipment? Any other other suggestions or ideas would be wecomed. Thanks.
