Description:
Located 30 miles northeast of downtown, this restored 19th-century village faithfully reproduces pioneer life between 1820 and 1840 with the help of 36 carefully restored buildings, crafts demonstrations, and reenactments of events on the frontier. In summer, you can pack a picnic and listen to a concert under the stars as part of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's "Symphony on the Prairie" series. Contact Frommers
